The Seattle Studs will be in the hunt for the NBC World Series. The Studs will square off against the Liberal Bee Jays. www.nbcbaseball.com
Seattle and Everett are the two NBC World Series representatives this year. Currently Seattle Studs are 2-0 with wins over the San Diego Stars and the Plaze Tire Caphas of Missouri.
Everett currently sits at 0-2 after losses to Chillicothe and the Nevada Griffins.
The NBC World series runs until August 10th when a champion will be crowned.
The Seattle Studs captured the PIL crown with a 19-1 record. Congratulations to Barry Aden and players on a terrific 2010 campaign.
Face with a depleted roster, the Merchants travels to Burnaby on Saturday to take on the
Bulldogs with only 11 players (8 infielders and three pitchers). Kyle Swannack (Bellevue College) took the loss in the first
game 4-0.
In the second game, the Merchants won 8-1 behind a strong pitching performance from starter Chris Seybold (Everett CC).
Ironically the offensive leader in the game was a pitcher. Swannack drove in three runs with a double and a single.
After 4 consecutive weekends away traveling from California to Canada the Studs spent some well needed playing time in the Puget Sound area.
Tuesday and Wednesday they played in Lacey at the Regional Athletic Center. The Studs beat the Nisqually Silvers 13 to 0 and the Tumwater Brewers 11 to 2.
Then a home game on Thursday at UPS the Studs beat the Lacey Saints 6 to 5 in 10 innings.
Friday night a visit to Everett Memorial where the Studs beat the Everett Merchants 5 to 4 in a hard fought 13 innings.
Sunday morning they were back on the road to British Columbia for a long day trip. But well worth the trip ~ for another two wins! The Studs took the doubleheader from the Coquitlam A’s First game 8 to 2; then 6 to 0.
The Studs are now 36 wins and 4 losses on the season with 10 games remaining before the World Series.
The Seattle Studs disposed of their neighboring rival the Everett Merchants in a 6-1 final of the annual Kamloops International Tournament. Mark Rocky of the Studs was names tournament MVP.

Seattle Studs and the Everett Merchants will head to Kamloops for the Kamloops International Baseball Tournament. Kamloops Sundevils of the PIL will be the host team and entertain St Albert, AB and Red Deer, AB. In the 36 year history of the Tournament the Seattle Studs have won it 7 times, 3 in the past 4 years, Everett Merchants have two tournament championships and been runner up the past two years.
The Seattle Studs defeated the Kelowna Jays in the 7th Annual Canada Day Baseball Blast in Kelowna, BC. The Studs took home $4500.00 in prize money with a 5-1 victory over the host Jays. The Studs and Everett Merchants will travel to Kamloops for the Kamloops International Baseball Invitational.

Thurston County Senators of the Puget Sound Collegiate league knocked out the Kamloops Sundevils in 1/4 finals
Kelowna defeated the Coquitlam Angels in 1/4 finals
Both Nanaimo Coalminers and Langley Blaze were eliminated in round robin play.

The Everett Merchants took care of the Seals of San Francisco with a 5-4 win June 29th at Everett Memorial. San Francisco also played the Seattle Studs with a split squad. Score was unavailable at press. All three teams will be up in Kelowna, BC for the 7th Annual Canada Day Blast Touranment June 30th- July 3rd
