PIL Adds Seattle Select as Newest Member Team

Thursday, the Pacific International League announced the addition of the expansion Seattle Select Baseball Club as the league’s sixth member team. They will play the majority of their home games out of Meridian Park in Shoreline.

The soon to be named team, will be run under the guidance of Dave Snell the Owner / Director of Operations of Seattle Select Baseball which he founded in 2005.  

Snell was a high-school star at Ingraham and was drafted as a pitcher by the San Francisco Giants. He signed with the Kansas City Royals in 1983 and played in the Seattle Mariners minor League system. In six total minor league seasons, he appeared in 194 games winning 28 games. He is currently the Head Coach at Shoreline Community College.  

“Adding another team in the league “said President Mike MacCulloch, “was an easy call for us especially looking that the success that Seattle Select has had over the years. We were simply waiting for the perfect situation for expansion, that’s now exactly what we’ve got with them.  I appreciate Dave’s commitment to the league and the hard work that Martin Lawrence of the Honkers did to help recruit them to our league.”

They will join the Everett Merchants, Highline Bears Northwest Honkers, Redmond Dudes, and the Seattle Studs who are gearing up for the 2022 campaign,
