‘Blackfins’ Newest PIL Team

On September 23, 2021 the Pacific International League announced the addition of the expansion Seattle Select Baseball Club as the league’s sixth member team and today we are pleased to announce that team will be called the Seattle Blackfins.
The team’s official colors will be black, grey, and turquoise.
They will play the majority of their home games out of Meridian Park in Shoreline and will be run under the guidance of Dave Snell the Owner / Director of Operations of Seattle Select Baseball which he founded in 2005.

Founded in the fall of 1992, the PIL is considered by many to be the premier Summer Collegiate Baseball league in the Northwest. Most PIL players are NCAA eligible and are unpaid in order to maintain their eligibility. The PIL is different from many other summer collegiate baseball leagues in that the league also allows former professionals and college graduates to participate.
